Sierra Leone is one of the most hazardous places in the world to have a baby. Women have a 1:21 chance of dying as a direct result. We feel it is our responsibility, as world leaders in Health Care to share our knowledge and skills to improve these statistics.
Africa has 11% of the world’s population, 24% of the global disease and only 3% of the healthcare workers to deal with it.
Our aim is to improve the maternity services in Sierra Leone by providing on-going training and support to midwives and healthcare workers. This is achieved by regular visits by midwives, delivering workshops, updates, clinical training, ongoing support, on site observation and supervision.
We are a small charity looking for support either financially or practically to secure our growth and development into the future.
